Expect The Best and Get It

Expect The Best and Get It. Daniel Cole  Matthew 9:29 "...According to your faith will it be done unto you." Your expectations is your manifestation. Expect to succeed, expect to win, expect to be favored, expect to be rich, expect Harmony, expect joy and abundance. Our thoughts creates our reality and what you don't expect with faith you are not permitted to experience. Wallace  D. Wattles once said, everything is formed out of the substance of faith, nothing was made possible without first thinking it possible. Expecting the best means that you put your whole heart (i.e., the central essence of your personality) into what you want to accomplish. People are defeated in life not because of ability, but for the lack of wholeheartedness. They do not wholeheartedly expect to succeed. Life cannot deny itself to the person who gives life it's all. Things become better when you expect the best instead of the worst. Emerson said, "Beware of what you want for you...

SPIRITUAL AWAKENING

Spiritual Awakening - Daniel Cole Jesus and his disciples came to a place called Gethsemane. Jesus said to them, "Sit here while I pray." He came a third time and said to them, "Will you sleep and rest all night? That’s enough! The time has come for the Human One to be betrayed into the hands of sinners. Mark 14:32, 41 CEB At Gethsemane, Jesus stayed all night praying, because he understood the magnitude of his enemies, he knew the battles that await him, he understands what the agony of the cross is really like, his desciples on the other hand spent all night sleeping because they have no clue what is going to become of them when Christ is finally no longer with them in person. You won't know how to prepare for a battle if you don't understand the nature, might and the strategies of your enemies. Each phases of our life is often accompanied with different challenges, as the common saying goes "New level, new devil" Even in our naivety of...

Breaking Free From a Begging Mentality

Breaking Free From a Begging Mentality - Daniel Cole At some stage in our life, we all live at the expense of others, but the challenge is that many don't seems to really outgrow this stage. They go through life with a "You Owe Me" mentality. They are always at the receiving end in every relationships, always on the lookout for what to get. They present their challenges pathetically to earn cheap empathy. When they are fortunate to meet a person of influence the first they think of is how to be a financial beneficiary of such influence, and these often leads to them not having any genuine, credible relationships around their life because virtually everyone they've met have been chased away as a result of their needful lifestyle. As a child of the Most High, we should not completely live our life at the benevolence of others, such lifestyle does not in any way reflects the true nature of Christ. We are not nomadic, we are not wanderers, we are an embodiment of ...

FRIENDSHIP IS CRUCIAL

Friendship is Crucial - Daniel Cole Two people can resist an attack that would defeat one person alone. A rope made of three cords is hard to break. Ecclesiastes 4:12 GNB Those who often fall victims of the devil vices are often those he successfully isolate from their spiritual circle, friendship and Christian home, as the verse above reflect. Friendship is crucial as we navigate life. Doing our daily life alone really is the pits. We’re all hungry for MEANINGFUL connection and the kind of relationship where we can raid each other’s fridge and keep no thing hidden. We want to be received as we are now and encouraged to grow into who God created us to be. We find God as we love each other. There is power in presence. In the same way that God is with us, we demonstrate his character and nature when we choose to be with others. Presence provides comfort, care, and a sense of security. It’s choosing to sit down with someone in the middle of his or her journey, an...

Living With Uncertainty

Living With Uncertainty - Daniel Cole   For we do not know... Romans 8:26B Ask any divorced or separated couples if they knew from onset, during honeymoon, "while the love was still young" that just few years down the line they both will be living separately and those vows exchanged at the alter will no longer matter? Of course, they knew not. Ask the student who burn candles all night trying all he could to ensure he doesn't fail those subjects, but on getting the results he didn't meet up with the cut-off mark, if he knew that would be the outcome? Of course not? Ask the 15 years old orphan that life accidentally thrust into parenthood, having to look after his siblings if he knew that was the fate life cut out for him? Of course not. How often have we also in the context of affirming our certainty or uncertainty  ask our partner "Do you love me? " One thing I know for sure is that nothing is for sure. When life hit us with painful ...

FACING OUR FEARS

“FACING OUR FEARS by Daniel Cole   Have you ever walked down a street late at night with little streetlight and people lurking ahead in the distance? This causes fear in us and that fear often makes us change direction. We turn around, going back the way that we came, thinking that the new route will be safer. We walk away from the danger we see in front of us. This is the power of fear. It reroutes us, diverts us, like a spiritual Satnav changing our direction. In this story of walking down a dark street, our fear worked as a survival mechanism and might have saved us from danger, but in our walk with God the enemy uses the same fear tactics to derail us from our destiny. The Bible says the enemy comes to kill, steal, and destroy; walking around like a lion seeking to devour its prey. The enemy uses fear to stop us going where God has called us to go, and stop us from reaching the people God wants us to reach – friends, family, neighbors, and colleagues. It st...
